Love What You Do – A Day in the Life of a Burton Backpack
Yep, that’s me.
Brand new, just out of the Burton Flagship Store, and I’m already falling out of the back of a Tacoma. You’re probably wondering how I got here. Well, since my new owner clearly hasn’t learned the value of shutting the tailgate, it looks like this is only the beginning. I knew I’d end up with someone who ran it fast and loose, but this is just embarrassing…
Let’s start at the beginning. I’m a Burton Annex Pack. I’m rocking 28 liters of storage space, a bucket top, and I’m fully featured for almost every type of adventure. They stamped the words, “Durable Goods” on my patch. Spend a day strapped to my owner’s back, and you’ll understand just what it means.
Sure enough, they came back for me. Adventure-mode is my natural state, so I’d have been fine rolling with whoever came and scooped me up. Life on the road is full of surprises, after all.
They loaded me up with a camp chair, a water bottle, some funky smelling tobacco and a couple Clif Bars. Looks like my first mission is straight to the outdoor lounge. Works for me. Like they said in the movie: the bag abides.
Next we headed into town to link up with my owners friends, and they brought along their bags, too. We’re all made with different features. The Day Hiker Pro’s a bit of a go-hard, and you know the Tinder Pack gets around, but we’re all cut from the same cloth in one way or another.
With our crew assembled, our owners decided to head to a local beach. The idea of getting dumped full of sand actually got me excited. It just doesn’t seem right to be as clean as I am after a hard day’s work.
You may have been hoping for more accidental mishaps. Luckily this day just got better from there, but I’m sure there will be plenty of adventures to come. If you’re still looking for carnage, you’ll just have to grab a pack and go make your own memories.
