In The News: Gear Patrol Calls The Resonator One of the "Most Innovative" New Snowboards
Grip it, point it, slash it… whatever you do, just don’t call it a snowboard.
The brainchild of a partnership with the folks at Varial Surf Technology, the Burton Resonator is built using 3D foam construction with the same advanced aerospace formulas found in some of the strongest, lightest surfboards in the world. Ridden without bindings, the powsurfer is designed to bring the feeling of surfing to snowboarding.
That tech was not lost on Gear Patrol, which recently published "How Snurfers Are Influencing the Most Innovative New Snowboards." The article outlines the history of the powsurfing movement, and its recent gain in popularity.

Gear Patrol interviewed JG Gerndt, Burton's Field Validator Coordinator (aka, product-tester extraordinaire) who had a hand in shaping the product, which started as a small side-project.
“The simplicity of it, the feeling you get from it,” he says, is universal.
